Just want to make sure I've got the right story here. I'm sure there's been a lot of drinking between when the guys with the story left, and when they got here.

So there was a court person called Erana who was really an evil sorceress. She had some kind of spell on the King and everyone. And then people started finding out, or something, and she had to hide. Then she killed all the flowers in the whole the city. The whole city. Then the prince rode into the city with some kind of legendary army he conjured forth with his new witch woman. Now he's taken the city by force, and the princess is dead, and they burned the fleet, and potatoes in the south have started growing legs and eyes, and are turning into locusts.

Is any of this right, or are these guys smoking something they shouldn't have gotten into?

Worked the whole winter in a logging camp, and I didn't remember to bring this thing with me. Mom's been reading it when she gets bored. Won't tell me a damned thing though. She doesn't care about anything.

Was there something happening in Floran? I wasn't one of the lucky ones who got to transport the wood. I was just chopping it down. Now I get back and everyone's talking about what's happening there. Nobody knows anything.

It's not like I want her to die. Or even hurt or anything. What does she want us to do though? The bastard is probably going to hurt her anyway, and there's nothing any of us can do about except keep on fighting. I'm not jumping up and down yet, but we're getting closer to where we want this to every day!

I took all that time to learn how to write as a different person, and now I still sit around like a butt. I'm trying to find trade routes I can mess up! It's a lot of work! So, I'm Tasha. I don't really know you very well, but my brother was engaged to your sister. That was a mess, but your family's in my prayers every night because they didn't sever ties with us after that whole crapstorm went down. I can probably say "shit", huh? We're both nineteen now... So yeah, shitstorm. Your family took me in after Mera got obliterated by Sarrca, and... yeah.

Anyway, I'm not really supposed to trust anyone right now, but your mother wants her birthday present from me to be a birthday present to you. She wants me to tell you that everything is fine with your family. Uh, she wants me to go into some details to make this worth her while anyway.

I'll start with your brother! He's getting into everything, and running around the castle. He's kind of cute, I don't know. ... Maybe a bad place to start.

Okay, your mother. She's doing fine! Just kind of worried about you. I keep showing her your writing when it shows up in public, and when I actually see it. I show it to both her and your father, but it's not the turn to talk about him! She's got a kid running around the castle, so she doesn't have much time to herself. I'm trying not to get her hopes up, but you guys are coming up here, right? Yeah...

And your dad's doing okay. Keeping busy trying to rebuild your army, but it's pretty frustrating since all the best guys went to Rayla, and you know... I don't think there's a person in Taerin who didn't get hurt by that.

Got five trees today. Ma's gonna have firewood this winter after all. Not that there was any doubt, but now she'll stop nagging me.

Just bought this journal three weeks ago, and it's already pretty full. Do I usually write this fast? Damn.

Okay~ I've found out the caravans that come this way to get to Sarrca. Unfortunately, they're all out of my reach! It'll be another month before one comes through this way, and it's not even going to stop in Taerin. I have to go to Affin to get at them.

I've been practicing my alternate personality for the fake journal posting, so I really hope we can start talking about that again because I want to start talking to people again~ Even if I can't be myself.

I think it's time I came clean... Ugh, this really sucks, and I want to get through it all before I have to go on a side bar.

I realised that there was a guy who could really help us in the fight, but I wasn't really sure if he would help. I went to Quen to see if I could recruit him, and I was... stupid! I thought I could blackmail him, and it all really blew up in my face when I tried to talk to him. It really blew up in my face. I'm not the one who has to bear the permanent scars though.

Tim's hands have been burned, and he's not really going to be able to feel with them for the rest of his life. It looks like he's going to get to keep them at least since they haven't gotten infected yet. And all of this is because I'm a big butt.
